The updated maps of Spain and France now include the new standardized Basque demonyms established by the Basque Language Academy, Euskaltzaindia, in 2024. These updates are based on the Academy’s recent standards (Nos. 32 and 36) and reflect the official demonyms for both the Kingdom of Spain and the French Republic.

The digital maps, accessible through Google Maps and uMap, provide a clear and accessible way to check the standardised Basque gentilicisms. They include the autonomous communities and autonomous cities of Spain, as well as the overseas regions and territories of France. In addition, data such as provinces, capitals and other key elements have been added to facilitate access to the information.
