UZEI has collaborated in the updating of two specialised dictionaries of TERMCAT, the terminology centre of Catalonia: the Diccionari d’otorrinolaringologia (ENT dictionary) and the Diccionari d’oftalmologia (ophthalmology dictionary).

Both works have recently been revised and expanded in their online editions, available since 2025, and include more than a thousand terms each in their respective fields. Thanks to the collaboration of UZEI, the French equivalents in the two publications have been completed by the transfer of specialised terminology from the Basque centre.

The dictionaries present definitions in Catalan and equivalents in Spanish, English and, in many cases, French, together with international anatomical terms where appropriate. They are reference terminology tools for health professionals as well as for translators and specialised linguists.

With this collaboration, UZEI reinforces its commitment to multilingual terminology standardisation in specialised fields and its willingness to cooperate with other terminology centres in the area.
